The Autograph Playhouse Refurbishment Campaign
The Autograph Playhouse is undergoing a refurbishment to stand along the great live performance theatres in Charm City. The Autograph Playhouse is located in the historic Charles Village area of Baltimore, MD. This location is near the Station North Arts district. The theatre itself is a 285 seat venue built in the 1940’s as a movie house. Our intention is to refurbish the venue for live performances such as plays, musicals, and other events, non-live events such as movies will also be presented at the venue. The refurbishment is to be completed on the interior, exterior and ventilation system of the theatre. Specifically, the exterior refurbishment will include the installation of a digital marquee as well as the removal of the existing marquee. Also, this will include minor exterior painting, brick repair and lighting. The interior refurbishment will include the installation of a lighting and sound system as well as minor painting, drywall and ceiling repairs. The ventilation refurbishment will include the installation of a heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) unit. The goal is to complete the refurbishment in June 2012 and have an opening gala in July 2012 followed by the first season of events.
